Department of Human Services shall convene a working group in consultation with the Na Kupuna Tribunal to examine child protective services and court processes for Native Hawaiian children removed from their homes.

Working group shall determine how the Na Kupuna Tribunal can best assist courts and child protective services with placement decisions and support for removed Native Hawaiian children.

Working group shall review how courts handle child custody cases involving Native Hawaiian children.

Working group membership shall include representatives from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Hawaii Foster Parent Association, Hawaii Youth Services Network, Attorney General, Hawaii State Bar Association, Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center, and other organizations deemed necessary by the Department of Human Services.

Department of Human Services shall submit findings and recommended legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 regular session; working group terminates upon adjournment of the 2016 regular session.
