Request the University of Hawaii to expand its Senior Citizen Visitor Program to all university and community college campuses statewide.

Approximately 300 senior citizens currently visit classes at the University of Hawaii at Manoa each semester through the program free of charge.

Program aims to help seniors stay mentally active and reduce risk of Alzheimer's disease through continued education and cognitive engagement.

Hawaii's population aged 75 and older increased 116 percent from 1990 to 2012, making senior wellness programs increasingly important.
