Cites Hawaii's shortage of living kidney donors (fewer than 10 per year) despite over 450 people on the state's organ transplant waiting list and geographic and financial barriers for potential neighbor island donors.

Notes that MatchingDonors statistics show high success rates with patients matched within 6 to 9 months of registration, and that the organization coordinates laboratory work, lodging, and medical care throughout the transplant process.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to The Queen's Transplant Center, the Governor, and the Director of Health.
