Request that the University of Hawaii affirm its commitment to following Title IX and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 to prevent all forms of sexual violence, harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking on campuses.

Require the University to increase resources and strengthen institutional infrastructure across all campuses to address and prevent sexual violence and gender discrimination.

Mandate implementation of specific safety measures including: publishing nondiscrimination notices, disseminating victim resources, designating a Title IX compliance coordinator, adopting complaint procedures, implementing evidence-based prevention programs, and providing campus-wide training on identifying and reporting sexual violence.

Direct the University to formulate campus-specific plans to address gender discrimination and violence while ensuring Title IX and Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act compliance.

Require the University to submit a report on its Title IX policies, procedures, staffing, statistics, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature at least 20 days before the 2017 Regular Session convening.
