Requests the Board of Education to review whether the student representative to the Board should be given voting rights instead of remaining nonvoting.

References S.B. No. 834 (Regular Session of 2015) which would add a voting student member to the Board of Education and eliminate the requirement for a nonvoting student representative selected by the State Student Council.

Notes that testimony indicated the student representative provides unique perspective and representation, and that students may benefit from having equally weighted input on the Board.

Requires the Board of Education to report its findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Education.
