Requests the Committee on Weights and Board of Education to consider the unique needs of remote schools when reevaluating the weighted student formula established by Act 51, Session Laws of Hawaii 2004.

Identifies that remote schools are more expensive to operate per pupil compared to more populous schools and face funding disadvantages due to small student populations.

Notes that remote schools struggle to provide the breadth of courses necessary for students to meet statewide graduation requirements due to weighted student formula funding constraints.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the concurrent resolution to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, and Committee on Weights Chairperson.
