Director of Health requested to convene a Climate Change and Health Working Group to assess climate change impacts on Hawaii residents' health and develop a strategic plan to address statewide health risks.

Working group to include public and private sector organizations focused on disease surveillance, monitoring capacity, and health responses to climate change effects including water security, vector-borne diseases, respiratory impacts, cardiovascular effects, air pollution, and mental health impacts.

Working group to create evidence-based tools for predicting health impacts, identify vulnerable populations, develop health communication and education programs, and provide workforce training recommendations for public health professionals.

Director of Health or designee to serve as chairperson or co-chairperson of the working group with representation from both public and private sector health professionals.

Working group required to submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes, with the group dissolving on June 30, 2016.
