Twenty tanks at the Red Hill Underground Fuel Storage Facility are located only 100 feet above a major groundwater aquifer serving thousands of Oahu residents' drinking water.

Requests the Department of Health, Environmental Protection Agency, Honolulu Board of Water Supply, and Navy to expeditiously implement recommendations from the Red Hill Fuel Storage Facility Task Force.

Urges the Navy to install double-lining (secondary containment) at the Red Hill Fuel Storage Facility to prevent future leaks.

Urges agencies to install additional groundwater monitoring wells and increase frequency of all monitoring and sampling activities at the facility.

Urges Department of Health, Environmental Protection Agency, and Navy to finalize a negotiated agreement protecting drinking water resources and minimizing threats of future petroleum releases.
