• Authorizes formation of a cancer presumptive law task force to evaluate health and safety issues for firefighters and recommend potential legislation establishing a rebuttable presumption that certain cancers are occupational illnesses for workers' compensation purposes.

• Task force to include representatives from the Department of Health, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, State Employees' Retirement System, State Fire Council, University of Hawaii Cancer Center, county human resources departments, health insurance industry, workers' compensation attorneys, and the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association.

• Task force must submit findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convening.

• Report must include analysis of cancer rates in firefighters versus general population, cost estimates for expanded workers' compensation benefits, current fire department safety procedures, and recommendations for administrative rule changes.

• Task force dissolved on June 30, 2017.
