Request the Federal Bureau of Investigation to report crimes and offenses relating to domestic violence under the Uniform Crime Reporting program as a separate Group A offense.

Direct the Research and Statistics Branch of the Department of the Attorney General to work with the FBI to pursue reporting domestic violence crimes separately in the Uniform Crime Reporting system.

Require the Department of the Attorney General to work with county police departments to develop an annual report providing statistics on domestic violence crimes and offenses in Hawaii.

Mandate the Department of the Attorney General to report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to each Regular Session on progress made in designating domestic violence as a reportable offense under the Uniform Crime Reporting program.

Direct transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the FBI, Governor, Department of the Attorney General, county police chiefs, and Hawaii's Congressional delegation.
