Notes environmental benefits of traditional Hawaiian burials compared to modern burials, as traditional methods avoid harmful chemicals like embalming fluids that can contaminate soil and aquifers.

Identifies cost savings and increased cemetery capacity benefits, as traditional burials require smaller burial plots and avoid casket expenses.

Requires the Department of Health to submit a report on its findings and actions to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2016 Regular Session convening.
