Chief Election Officer must randomly select a letter of the alphabet by lot no later than 60 days before the first election of each two-year cycle (or by the second Tuesday in June, whichever is earlier)

Candidate names on ballots shall be arranged alphabetically by last name beginning with the randomly selected letter, then continuing through the alphabet in subsequent order

When candidates' last names begin with the same letter, they are arranged alphabetically by the second and subsequent letters of the last name, then by first name

Chief Election Officer must inform voters and candidates of the ballot order through methods suited to the voting system in use

Implementation procedures apply to election cycles beginning January 1, 2018, with the Act taking effect on July 1, 2030
