Adds athletic coaches and assistant coaches of the University of Hawaii hired on or after the effective date to the list of individuals excluded from collective bargaining units under Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 89-6(f)

Exclusion applies only to coaches hired on or after the effective date of this act, not retroactively to existing coaches

Modifies existing paragraph (2) to clarify that collective bargaining unit members may serve on governing boards of charter schools, the state public charter school commission, or as charter school authorizers

Takes effect on July 1, 2016
