HI HB1757

Authorizes pharmacies to provide customized patient medication packages containing one or more prescribed solid oral dosage forms to patients of institutional facilities or members of the general public.

Requires pharmacies to obtain consent from the patient, patient's caregiver, patient's guardian, or prescribing practitioner before providing a customized medication package.

Requires consent to be accompanied by the patient's current prescription and the customized package must meet requirements of section 328-16.

Defines "customized patient medication package" as a package prepared by a pharmacist for a specific patient containing prescribed solid oral dosage forms.

Takes effect July 1, 2070.
