Amends Hawaii's franchise investment law to make voidable any franchise agreement provision that restricts dispute resolution to a forum outside of Hawaii.

Allows franchisees to reject out-of-state forum selection clauses for claims arising under or relating to franchises in Hawaii or Hawaii-based franchise business dealings.

Addresses Hawaii's geographic isolation by preventing franchisees from being forced to litigate disputes thousands of miles away, which creates prohibitive costs and prevents access to legal protections.

Enables development of Hawaii judicial precedent on franchise law by allowing disputes to be adjudicated in state courts rather than out-of-state jurisdictions.

Takes effect on July 1, 2016.
