Renames the "High Technology Development Corporation" to the "Hawaii Technology Development Corporation" to better reflect its mission of growing the technology and innovation economy.

Amends Chapter 206M of Hawaii Revised Statutes and multiple other statute sections to replace all references to "high technology development corporation" with "Hawaii technology development corporation."

Updates the definition of "high technology" to "technology" in relevant statute sections to reflect modern terminology.

Clarifies that all acts passed during the 2016 legislative session referring to the "high technology development corporation" shall be read to refer to the corporation by its new name.

Takes effect on July 1, 2050, with no impact on the validity of existing contracts, leases, rules, or documents using the former corporation name.
