HI HB2335

Authorizes the Hawaii Medical Board to impose the same disciplinary action (revocation, suspension, or other discipline) against a licensee based on disciplinary action taken by another state or federal agency.

Requires the board to serve the licensee with a proposed order and allow 20 days to request a hearing before issuing a final disciplinary order.

A certified copy of disciplinary action from another state or federal agency constitutes prima facie evidence of the grounds for discipline.

Prohibits a licensee from practicing in Hawaii once a proposed order is issued if the licensee was disciplined by another state and prohibited from practicing there.

Effective July 1, 2016.
