Creates new offense of recklessly possessing a loaded firearm while intoxicated under Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 134

Defines intoxication as being under the influence of alcohol or drugs impairing mental faculties, or having a blood alcohol content of .08 grams or more per 100 milliliters of blood or .08 grams or more per 210 liters of breath

Defines possession of a loaded firearm as having immediate physical control over a loaded firearm

Establishes penalty of up to 30 days imprisonment, a fine of not more than $1,000, or both for violating the prohibition

Takes effect July 1, 2015
