Requests the Department of Education Superintendent establish a task force to identify appropriate vocational programs for implementation at public high schools.

Task force must develop vocational program curricula for high school students and identify costs and barriers to reintroducing vocational programs.

Superintendent requested to invite representatives from trade unions and community college apprenticeship training programs to participate in or provide input to the task force.

Superintendent must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session convenes.

Recognizes that Hawaii's public schools previously offered vocational programs that provided career pathways and helped produce well-rounded students.
