Requests the Lieutenant Governor or designee to convene a task force to explore merging the Oahu Interscholastic Association and Interscholastic League of Honolulu high school football leagues.

Task force membership includes executive directors from both leagues, athletic directors (one from each division of each league), and head football coaches (one from each division of each league).

Task force directed to examine merger feasibility, associated costs, potential financial and athletic benefits, and possible funding mechanisms for a merged league.

Task force members serve without compensation and must submit findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session convenes.

Task force automatically dissolved on June 30, 2017, with certified copies of the resolution transmitted to the Lieutenant Governor, league executives, athletic directors, and football coaches.
