Requests the Executive Office on Early Learning to collaborate with the Executive Office on Aging to encourage care providers to create intergenerational shared sites combining childcare and senior services.

Identifies intergenerational shared sites as settings where children, youth, and older adults participate in services and programs concurrently at the same location.

Notes that successful intergenerational programs already operate in Honolulu, Kapolei, and Kahului with planned activities and informal interactions between keiki and kupuna.

Cites benefits including reducing social isolation and depression in seniors, providing children access to kupuna wisdom, and improving efficiency for working families needing both childcare and elder care services.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Directors of the Executive Office on Early Learning and the Executive Office on Aging.
