• Request Department of Education to develop statewide suicide prevention program with annual professional development for all staff covering risk factors, warning signs, protective factors, response procedures, referrals, postvention, and resources.

• Require distribution of suicide prevention policy annually in all student and teacher handbooks and on school websites.

• Integrate developmentally-appropriate, student-centered suicide prevention education materials into all K-12 health classes curriculum.

• Require age-appropriate materials to address safe and healthy choices, recognition of risk factors and warning signs in oneself and others, and help-seeking strategies including school resource engagement.

• Direct transmission of certified copies to Superintendent of Education, Director of Health, Hawaii Association of School Psychologists, and Hawaii State Parent Teacher Student Association.
