Request Governor to create a Kama'aina Homecoming Commission to plan and organize a large-scale reunion event for Hawaii expatriates, particularly native Hawaiians living overseas.

Event to be held every five years in Hawaii with a formal welcoming ceremony by the Governor to recognize expatriates' personal, professional, economic, and educational achievements.

Commission requested to invite Bruno Mars as honorary chair and/or keynote speaker, along with other notable former and current Hawaii residents including Daniel Dae Kim, Michelle Wie, Steve Case, Tom Selleck, Tia Carrere, and Nicole Kidman.

Aims to convert Hawaii's "brain drain" into "brain gain" by leveraging expatriates' knowledge and success stories to benefit Hawaii's economy.

Certified copies of resolution to be transmitted to the Governor and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
