Expresses endorsement and support for the Department of Land and Natural Resources to use durable and temporary geo-synthetic materials to protect the Kaanapali Beach Walk from shoreline hazards.

Authorizes use of geo-synthetic materials as a temporary measure until a permanent beach nourishment program at Kaanapali Beach can be completed.

Notes that Kaanapali Beach generates over $2 billion annually for the State and Maui County economies through visitor spending.

References recent storm waves that have accelerated shoreline erosion and threatened the six thousand lineal feet of paved pedestrian walking pathways that comprise the Kaanapali Beach Walk.

Requires certified copies be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources and the Mayor of the County of Maui.
