Affirms Hawaii's support for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands and its role in providing health care services to residents, including cancer screenings, contraception, STI testing and treatment, and abortion services.

Recognizes that Planned Parenthood provides over 10,000 services annually to Hawaii residents, including teenagers and individuals with limited income, and celebrates its 50th year of operation in Hawaii in 2016.

Denounces violence, intimidation, and harassment against abortion providers and patients, citing since 1977 nearly 7,000 violent acts including bombings, arsons, and assaults, and 11 murders since 1993 of individuals associated with abortion care.

Affirms that all persons have the right to access reproductive health care services without fear of violence, intimidation, or harassment.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Director of Health, and county mayors.
