Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to preserve pueo habitat areas across the State of Hawaii and conduct an extensive pueo habitat inventory.

Designates the pueo (Hawaiian owl, Asio flammeus sandwichensis) as an endangered endemic species with significant cultural importance in Hawaiian mythology as a guardian spirit and "bird of wisdom."

Notes that pueo populations have drastically declined on Oahu's Ewa Plain since the late 1800s and require an established habitat protection plan.

Highlights pueo breeding and hunting characteristics, including ground nesting in grassy areas, daytime activity patterns, and vulnerability to predators like feral cats, dogs, rats, and mongoose.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Board of Land and Natural Resources, Hawaiian Homes Commission, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, City and County of Honolulu Mayor, and Navy Region Hawaii Commander.
