Commends and congratulates Rockne Freitas on his accomplishments and contributions to the University of Hawaii and the State of Hawaii on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the University of Hawaii-West Oahu's establishment.

Recognizes Freitas's 35-year career as an educator and educational executive, including 12 years as a professional football player with the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Acknowledges his leadership roles across the University of Hawaii System, including positions at UH-Manoa, Chancellor of Hawaii Community College, and Chancellor of the University of Hawaii-West Oahu.

Notes his service at Kamehameha Schools as Vice President and Director of Operations, where he oversaw campus development and expansion to neighbor islands.

Extends best wishes to Freitas for a fruitful retirement and continued success in future endeavors.
