Commends Miki K. Nishizawa for receiving the 2016 Tomorrow's Leaders Award, which honors youth dedicated to supporting crime victims and combating bullying, domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, and campus sexual assault.

Recognizes Nishizawa's advocacy work beginning at Waipahu High School and continuing at the University of Hawaii through her involvement with Parents and Children Together, resulting in local and national impact.

Credits Nishizawa with initiating collaboration between Waipahu High School's Youth for Safety Club and social service providers to create a template for Hawaii schools to prevent teen and domestic violence.

Acknowledges her efforts to raise awareness of domestic violence education at the school level and extend support resources to students in the wider community and state youth organizations.
