Request the Prevent Suicide Hawaii Task Force to develop a strategic plan to reduce suicides in Hawaii by at least 25 percent by 2025.

Direct the Task Force to examine and evaluate methods to improve education, awareness, support services, and outreach for suicide prevention.

Require formation of a temporary subcommittee with 13 specified members including suicide attempt survivors, loss survivors, mental health professionals, veterans representatives, military personnel, and representatives from suicide prevention organizations.

Subcommittee members to be appointed by the Governor, Director of Health, Senate President, House Speaker, and heads of relevant organizations between 2016-2017.

Task Force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2018 Regular Session convenes.
