Legislature expresses gratitude to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands for providing health care services to millions of people annually, including teenagers and vulnerable populations.

Affirms that all persons have the right to access reproductive health care services without fear of violence, intimidation, or harassment.

Reaffirms support for Planned Parenthood health centers and staff in carrying out their mission to provide access to reproductive health care as a fundamental human right.

Condemns violence against abortion providers and patients, noting that since 1977 nearly 7,000 violent acts against abortion providers have been reported, and 11 murders have occurred since 1993, including a November 27, 2015 attack in Colorado Springs that killed 3 people and injured 9.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the Governor, Director of Health, and county mayors.
