Request the Department of Taxation to conduct a study on whether a state luxury tax would benefit addressing affordable housing, homelessness, and public education funding.

Direct the Department of the Attorney General, Department of Budget and Finance, and Council on Revenues to assist by providing necessary information and data for the study.

Require the Department of Taxation to submit a report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session begins.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Director of Taxation, Attorney General, Director of Finance, and Chair of the Council on Revenues.
