Urges the Legislature to consider submitting to voters in the 2018 general election the question of whether Hawaii should hold a constitutional convention.

Notes that the last constitutional convention in Hawaii was held in 1978, and the question was previously placed on ballots in 1998 and 2008 (both times voters rejected holding a convention).

References Article XVII, Section 2 of the Hawaii Constitution, which requires the question be automatically submitted if more than nine years elapse without it being placed on a ballot; this nine-year period expires in 2018 since the question was last submitted in 2008.

Requests the Legislature consider submitting the constitutional convention question during the 2017 Regular Session for inclusion on the 2018 general election ballot.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the presiding officers of both legislative chambers, the Governor, and the Lieutenant Governor.
