Requests the Department of Health to establish a Mosquito Control Task Force to identify and recommend measures to control mosquito populations and eliminate breeding sites throughout Hawaii, with particular focus on water catchment systems

Task Force membership includes the Director of Health (Chair), Dean of the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at University of Hawaii, Chair of the Board of Realtors, representatives from University of Hawaii System campuses in Hawaii County, Kauai County, and Maui County, and Co-Chairs of the Hawaii Invasive Species Council

Task Force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2017 Regular Session

Task Force members are exempt from Hawaii Revised Statutes chapter 84 conflict-of-interest requirements solely for their participation in the Task Force

Task Force is scheduled to cease operations on June 30, 2017
