Request that the Department of Education Superintendent provide all staff with annual professional development on suicide prevention, including risk factors, warning signs, protective factors, response procedures, referrals, postvention, and resources.

Require the suicide prevention policy to be distributed annually and included in all student and teacher handbooks and on school websites.

Integrate developmentally-appropriate, student-centered suicide prevention education materials into all K-12 health classes curriculum.

Specify that educational materials include information on safe and healthy coping strategies, recognizing risk factors and warning signs of mental disorders and suicide, and help-seeking strategies for oneself or others.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Superintendent of Education, Director of Health, Hawaii Association of School Psychologists, and Hawaii State Parent Teacher Student Association.
