• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 346-29 to add a new provision regarding income and resource disregards for public assistance eligibility determinations.

• Requires the Department of Human Services to disregard Section 8 housing voucher program payments made on behalf of applicants or recipients when determining eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

• Adds this new disregard as subsection (13) to existing income and resource exclusion provisions, which already included items such as emergency assistance payments, first-to-work program benefits, and family self-sufficiency escrow accounts.

• Effective upon approval.
