Law enforcement agencies must conduct an annual inventory of all sexual assault collection kits in their possession by December 1 of each year, beginning December 1, 2016.

Each law enforcement agency must submit a written report to the attorney general by December 1 annually listing the number of untested sexual assault collection kits and the collection date for each kit.

The attorney general must compile county and agency-level data on untested kits and submit an annual report to the president of the senate and speaker of the house of representatives by January 1 each year, beginning January 1, 2017.

"Untested sexual assault collection kit" is defined as a kit that has not been submitted to a qualified laboratory for serology or DNA testing.
