Requires Department of Education schools and charter schools to post visible signs containing the Department of Human Services child abuse or neglect hotline number in accessible public areas.

Signs must be at least 11 inches by 17 inches, posted at student eye level in high-traffic locations with large, clear, simple language in multiple languages as determined by the Director of Human Services.

Hotline phone number must appear in bold print, along with instructions to call 911 for emergencies and directions to access the Department of Human Services child welfare services website.

Director of Human Services, in consultation with the superintendent, may establish additional requirements for sign size, location, and content.

Effective upon approval, intended to increase awareness and access to child abuse reporting resources for students who are victims of abuse and neglect.
