Establishes new section in Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 453 requiring registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to comply with orders of physician assistants who are licensed, practicing under physician supervision, and acting as the supervising physician's agent.

Removes references to physician assistant authority from the definitions of "practice of nursing as a licensed practical nurse" and "practice of nursing as a registered nurse" in Chapter 457, consolidating this authority under Chapter 453 instead.

Removes the sunset date of July 1, 2017 from Act 255, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, making permanent the requirement for nurses to follow physician assistant orders.

Takes effect upon approval.
