Appropriates funds to hire one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) case manager to provide student mental health services and consistent follow-ups for mental health clients at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Addresses the understaffing of the university's counseling center, which currently operates with only 7.5 FTE psychologists despite serving 20,000 students and national guidelines recommending one psychologist per 1,000-1,500 students.

Aims to reduce waitlists for individual psychotherapy services, which currently range from five days to two and a half weeks for initial intake appointments.
