Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 353-66(e) to include misdemeanor offenses under chapter 134 (firearms, ammunition, and dangerous weapons) as disqualifying offenses for parole revocation consideration.

Parolees retaken and reimprisoned for parole violations can now be confined for no more than six months or remaining sentence time (whichever is shorter) only if they have not been charged with new felony or misdemeanor offenses under chapter 134, chapter 707, or section 709-906.

Maintains existing exceptions preventing the six-month limit if parolee absconded, violated sex offender conditions, or was previously reimprisoned for parole violations on the current offense.

Requires paroling authority approval of a parole plan under section 706-670 as a condition for application of the six-month reincarceration limit.

Takes effect upon approval.
