Establishes a long-term care training program within the University of Hawaii center on aging to expand Hawaii's workforce capacity for home- and community-based care.

Program shall expand quality and quantity of long-term care workers through research on workforce skills, curriculum design based on local industry standards, and delivery of training through traditional and technology-based methods.

Program shall improve support and training of family caregivers through resource material development and dissemination, and formal training for informal caregivers.

Program shall promote active aging by harnessing the productivity of elderly individuals as healthcare resources for themselves and their communities.

Appropriates $206,913 from general revenues for fiscal year 2016-2017 to the University of Hawaii center on aging to establish the long-term care training program, effective July 1, 2016.
