Removes the sunset provision from Act 255, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, which was scheduled to expire on July 1, 2017.

Allows nursing definitions that include carrying out orders of physician assistants and acting as agents of supervising physicians to continue permanently instead of reverting to prior language.

Finds that the 2012 amendments have had no harmful effects and have provided clarity and improved communication among healthcare providers and patients.

Amends Section 5 of Act 255 to strike the repeal language and reinstatement provision, making the 2012 changes to Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 457-2 permanent.
