Study must examine barriers to quality care, compile statewide mortality data, and review links between septic shock and dengue shock syndrome in Hawaii County

Study to assess national best practices, evaluate early recognition and treatment options in Hawaii hospitals, and provide recommendations for quality measure collection and public education

Department to develop a comprehensive plan to combat sepsis incorporating study findings and submit report with recommendations and any proposed legislation to the Legislature by twenty days prior to the 2017 Regular Session
