Requests the Board of Education and Department of Education to expand world language offerings in public schools to meet future workforce development needs of Hawaii and the nation.

Directs education officials to consider incorporating future workforce needs when deciding which languages to offer in schools.

Instructs the Department of Education to examine high school student body populations as a basis for expanding world language programs.

Acknowledges Hawaii's diverse population from the Asian Pacific region and immigrant families who would benefit from native language instruction in public schools.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Chairperson of the Board of Education, and Superintendent of Education.
