The Judiciary is requested to review its website and written materials sent to prospective jurors regarding exemptions from jury service and accommodations for breastfeeding mothers.

The Judiciary is requested to revise its information and forms to clearly communicate policies allowing breastfeeding mothers to request a one-year exemption from jury duty and to ensure private spaces and times are available for nursing during jury service.

The Judiciary must submit a written report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session convening, detailing the review and revision of policies, information, and any proposed legislation.

The resolution emphasizes that the Judiciary currently has policies supporting breastfeeding mothers but these policies are not widely communicated to prospective jurors.

Certified copies of the concurrent resolution must be transmitted to the Chief Justice and Administrative Director of the Courts.
