Notes trees reduce annual heating and cooling costs in the United States by $2.1 billion and references Hawaii's successful planting of 1.2 million trees during the 1980s "A Million Trees of Aloha" initiative.

Emphasizes that green landscapes enhance Hawaii's image as a "Tropical Wonderland," support the tourism industry as the state's primary economic driver, and improve residents' physical and psychological health.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the State Director of Transportation and Director of Parks and Recreation of the City and County of Honolulu.
