Request for the State Auditor to conduct an operational audit of the University of Hawaii System to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations and determine whether the university is achieving its mission.

Auditor is requested to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2017.

References prior 2015 audit findings (Report No. 15-07) identifying weak planning at the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii and inadequate oversight of procurement and hiring processes.

Board of Regents and President of the University of Hawaii are requested to cooperate with the Auditor during the audit process.

Concurrent Resolution requires certified copies to be transmitted to the Auditor, Chairperson of the Board of Regents, and President of the University of Hawaii.
