Request the Governor to coordinate with state agencies (Department of Transportation, University of Hawaii System, Department of Education, Department of Accounting and General Services) to create a plan naming a school, building, road, park, or state property after President Barack Obama.

Require the Governor to submit a joint report on the plan's status to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session convening.

Request the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts to commission a statue of President Barack Obama for placement on state or federal property.

Recognize President Obama's connection to Hawaii, his birth in Honolulu on August 4, 1961, his attendance at Punahou School, and his accomplishments as the 44th President of the United States.

Direct certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the Governor, relevant state agency directors, and President Barack Obama.
