Office of Aerospace Development is requested to enter into an agreement with specified agencies including High Technology Development Corporation, Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation, Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation, Department of Transportation, Department of Defense, University of Hawaii at Hilo, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Waiakea High School, Ellison S. Onizuka Space Center, and County of Hawaii to develop a plan for the Gil Kahele Aero Technology Campus.

Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism may request additional agencies and organizations to participate in the agreement.

Gil Kahele Aero Technology Campus is to be located on a site in Hilo to be identified by the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.

Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism must submit the plan for the campus, including the proposed site, to the Legislature no later than 60 days before the 2017 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to directors and leadership of all participating agencies and organizations.
