• Hospital operates 53 inpatient acute care beds and 107 skilled nursing beds, serves a 30-mile area with 60,000 residents, and is the only independent rural non-profit acute care hospital in the State.

• Requests the Governor work with WGH's Board to develop a new business model and explore potential partnerships with major healthcare providers and organizations to ensure the hospital's continued operations.

• Directs transmission of the resolution to the Governor, state agency directors, hospital CEOs, emergency services officials, and neighborhood board chairs to address the critical public health, safety, economic, and employment impacts of potential hospital closure.
